He’d had it for many years before he bestowed it upon me. The story goes that he brought it from Norway when he immigrated to America in 1905, but I can’t verify that. I wish I knew more about it.<br/><br/> I do remember him playing schottisches and polkas on it; us kids would dance around and laugh a lot when he got going! He preferred his full-sized violin. This is a 3/4 size violin.<br/><br/> I believe that it’s well over 100 years old. It was very well used when I got it and has been through a lot.
